Job Title: Power BI Frontend Developer - Spotfire Migration, SQL, UX & Data Visualization

Job Description

We are seeking an experienced Power BI Frontend Developer with expertise in User Experience (UX) design and a strong technical background in building visual reports, dashboards, and data models. The ideal candidate will be responsible for transferring use cases from Spotfire to Power BI , ensuring seamless integration and optimal functionality. This role requires hands-on knowledge of SQL, relational databases, and Power BI features, along with excellent communication skills for effective collaboration with internal and client teams.

Key Responsibilities

• Migrate and develop use cases from Spotfire to Power BI with a focus on enhanced UX.
• Build and deploy Analysis Services reporting models and ensure compatibility with data warehouse standards.
• Develop visual reports , KPI scorecards , and dashboards using Power BI Desktop .
• Establish connections to data sources, perform data imports, and transform data for business intelligence
• Implement row-level security and configure the application security layer models in Power BI.
• Design and maintain tabular and multidimensional models for scalable reporting.
• Use DAX queries and advanced-level calculations to optimize the dataset.
• Ensure a thorough understanding of Power BI service , Gateway , and licensing configurations.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather requirements and deliver solutions.
• Create and maintain project documentation, including design methodology and processes.

Qualifications

Must-Have:

• Proficiency in Power BI development with a strong focus on UX design and functionality.
• Hands-on knowledge of SQL and relational databases.
• Expertise in Analysis Services models and deployment processes.
• In-depth understanding of Power BI service , Gateways , and licensing.
• Proficiency in DAX queries and advanced calculations in Power BI.
• Analytical mindset to translate complex datasets into actionable insights.

Nice-to-Have:

• Prior experience in transferring use cases from Spotfire to Power BI.
• Familiarity with tabular and multidimensional modeling compatible with data warehouse standards.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills for effective collaboration.
